It automatically adjusts your suspension damping between open, pedal, and lock positions without you needing to touch a lever, ensuring you have maximum efficiency on climbs and full control on descents.

While this bike is engineered specifically for elite-level cross-country racing, its 120mm of travel and modern geometry make it incredibly capable for aggressive trail riding. However, if you prioritize comfort and durability over absolute weight savings and race-day speed, you might find other models in the Spark lineup more forgiving.

The integrated power meter provides precise, real-time data on your output, which is essential for structured training and pacing during long races. Because it is built directly into the drivetrain, it offers consistent accuracy and eliminates the need for aftermarket sensors that can be prone to calibration issues.

The AXS wireless system is remarkably reliable and requires very little maintenance compared to traditional cable-actuated drivetrains. You will need to keep the batteries charged and ensure the derailleur hanger is straight, but the system is sealed well against the elements and eliminates cable stretch or housing friction.

These wheels feature a unique one-piece carbon construction where the spokes and rim are molded together for maximum stiffness and low weight. Because of this integrated design, they are not serviceable in the traditional sense; if a spoke or rim section is severely damaged, the wheelset typically requires replacement rather than repair.

Despite having 120mm of travel, the bike remains an efficient climber due to its lightweight carbon frame and the automated suspension system. The suspension locks out instantly under power, preventing energy loss, while the geometry keeps your weight centered for steep, technical ascents.
