Gnu Barrett

The Gnu Barrett is designed for experienced riders who want a stable, responsive board. With its camber-dominant profile and 5/10 flex rating, it requires a solid foundation of technique to handle properly, so it is likely too aggressive for someone just starting out.

It performs exceptionally well on firm snow thanks to Gnu's Magne-Traction technology. The serrated edges act like a steak knife, providing extra contact points that bite into ice and hardpack where traditional sidecuts might slip.

This is a true all-mountain deck. It excels at carving groomers and handling varied terrain, offering enough stability for high-speed charging while remaining snappy enough to explore the whole mountain.

While the camber-dominant profile provides excellent edge hold and pop, it is more precise than a rocker board. You will need to be intentional with your turns, but the trade-off is a much more stable and reliable feel when you are riding at speed.

A 5/10 flex is a versatile middle ground. It is stiff enough to provide stability and power through turns, but soft enough that you can still manipulate the board and press it without needing to be an expert racer.

The directional shape with a 3.8 cm setback is built for forward-facing stability and float. It makes turn initiation smoother and helps keep the nose up in softer snow, though it is not designed for frequent switch riding.
