The spider (washer) fitter is designed for lamps with a harp and finial, which is standard for most table and floor lamps. The candle clip-on fitter is specifically for smaller chandelier-style bulbs. Check your existing lamp to see if it uses a harp or if the shade clips directly onto the bulb.

Because this is 100% linen, it has a natural, organic texture that holds its shape well due to the structured box-pleat design. While linen can have slight variations, the pleating process ensures the shade maintains a crisp, tailored silhouette over time.

To maintain the integrity of the linen and the pleats, we recommend using a soft-bristled brush or a vacuum attachment on a low setting to gently remove dust. For deeper cleaning, the shade is dry clean only to prevent shrinkage or damage to the structure.

When selecting your size, ensure the shade is proportional to your lamp base—generally, the shade should be about two-thirds the height of the base. Also, measure the width of your current shade to ensure the new one provides adequate coverage for your light bulb and hardware.

The colorblock band is crafted from the same high-quality linen as the rest of the shade, so it will diffuse light similarly to the main body. You can expect a warm, ambient glow, though the darker colorblock sections may cast a slightly softer, more muted light than the lighter portions.
