SRAM Paceline X Disc Brake Rotor

The rounded edge is designed to smooth airflow around the rotor, offering a slight aerodynamic advantage for road cyclists. Beyond aerodynamics, it also creates a cleaner, more finished look compared to standard, sharp-edged rotors.

The two-piece design uses an aluminum carrier bonded to a steel braking surface. This combination reduces rotating weight compared to a solid steel rotor while effectively dissipating heat during long descents, leading to more consistent braking performance.

This rotor uses a Center Lock mounting interface, which is standard for many modern disc-brake wheelsets. You will need a Center Lock compatible hub to install it, and you should ensure your frame or fork clearance accommodates the 140mm or 160mm diameter you choose.

The Paceline X has a clearly defined wear limit. You should replace the rotor once the braking surface thickness wears down to 1.55mm, which helps ensure you maintain predictable stopping power and safety.

Because these use a Center Lock interface, you will need a standard cassette lockring tool to tighten the rotor onto your hub. Be sure to torque the lockring to 40 Nm to ensure it is secure.
