While the Power Core is sturdy enough for consistent training, it is primarily designed for technique, speed, and cardio work. If you are throwing maximum-force power shots, you may notice some movement or swaying of the base, even when fully weighted.

Sand is the superior choice for stability because it is denser and heavier than water, which helps minimize movement during intense sessions. Water is easier to fill and drain if you need to move the bag frequently, but it will be less stable.

You should clear a circular area with a diameter of at least 4 to 5 feet to allow for the bag's natural movement and to give yourself enough room to move around it while training. Ensure the floor surface is level and non-slip to prevent the base from sliding.

The adjustment mechanism is built to be durable, but it is important to ensure the locking collar or pin is fully engaged before every session. Over time, frequent adjustments can cause minor wear, so it is best to find your preferred height and keep it there as much as possible.

The base is made of durable plastic, but it can still scratch or scuff hard surfaces, especially as it shifts during use. We highly recommend placing a heavy-duty rubber gym mat underneath the base to protect your flooring and provide extra grip.
