Soil blocking eliminates the need for plastic pots, which can cause roots to circle and become pot-bound. By forming compact cubes, the roots naturally air prune when they reach the edge of the block, resulting in a stronger, healthier root system that transitions seamlessly into the garden without transplant shock.

For the best results, use a fine-textured, peat-based or coir-based seed starting mix. The soil needs to be moist enough to hold its shape when compressed, but not so wet that it becomes muddy or sticky.

The Ladbrooke Soil Blocker is constructed from zinc-coated solid steel, which is specifically designed to be rust-resistant. To ensure longevity, simply rinse off any excess soil and dry the tool thoroughly after each use.

The four 1/2 inch seed pins create perfectly sized indentations in the center of each soil block. This provides a consistent, optimal depth for your seeds, ensuring they are planted at the right level for reliable germination.
