Yeti Cycles ASR C2

While the ASR C2 is built with cross-country racing DNA, its 120mm of travel and modern geometry make it highly capable for aggressive trail riding. It is efficient enough for endurance events but stable enough to handle technical descents that would overwhelm a traditional, twitchy XC bike.

The threaded BSA 73 bottom bracket is a major plus for long-term reliability. It is significantly easier to service and less prone to creaking than press-fit alternatives, making it a preferred choice for riders who do their own maintenance.

The RockShox suspension setup is tuned to be firm and efficient under power, minimizing pedal bob on climbs. On the way down, the 120mm of travel provides enough cushion to track well over roots and rocks without feeling like you are riding a heavy, sluggish enduro bike.

The bike features configurable internal cable routing ports, which are designed to keep the lines clean and protected. While internal routing always requires a bit more patience than external setups, these ports are engineered to make housing swaps and maintenance straightforward.

The 2-piston SRAM Level TL brakes are lightweight and provide ample stopping power for typical cross-country terrain and fast-paced trail riding. If you frequently ride extremely steep or long descents, you might eventually consider upgrading to a 4-piston caliper, but for most riders, these are perfectly adequate.
