Specialized Crux Frameset

The Crux DSW frameset accommodates tires up to 47mm wide on 700c wheels. This clearance provides plenty of room for dedicated gravel treads while still leaving space for mud shedding.

Smartweld technology allows Specialized to manipulate the aluminum tubing shapes and weld locations to optimize stiffness and compliance. It results in a frame that feels significantly lighter and more responsive than traditional alloy, mimicking the handling characteristics of carbon fiber.

This frameset utilizes a threaded bottom bracket. This is a preferred standard for many riders because it is generally easier to service and less prone to creaking over time.

The frameset comes with an S-Works FACT carbon fork. This high-end fork is designed to dampen road vibration and keep the front end weight low, which is essential for the bike's nimble handling.

The frame features a UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) dropout. This is a great feature for future-proofing your build, as it is widely available and compatible with the latest drivetrain standards.
