Specialized Crux Frameset

It is designed to excel at both. The geometry is agile enough for technical cyclocross courses, but the tire clearance and compliance make it equally capable as a lightweight gravel bike for long-distance rides.

The frame accommodates tires up to 700c x 47mm or 650b x 2.1 inches. This clearance provides plenty of room for wider, knobby tires to handle loose gravel and mud.

The Crux is versatile and compatible with both 1x and 2x drivetrains, whether you prefer electronic or mechanical shifting. It is built to accommodate whichever setup fits your riding style.

This frameset uses a standard threaded BSA 68mm bottom bracket. This choice is widely appreciated by mechanics and riders alike for its reliability and ease of maintenance compared to press-fit alternatives.

The frame features three water bottle mounting positions, but it is primarily designed as a performance-oriented race frame. It does not include dedicated mounts for racks or fenders, so you should plan your bikepacking setup accordingly.

The frame requires a 27.2mm seatpost. This diameter is standard for many performance bikes and helps contribute to the frame's overall compliance and vibration damping.
