This extra suction pulls grass blades upright before they are cut, resulting in a cleaner, more even finish, and it is particularly effective at propelling clippings into a bagger or out through a side discharge chute.

This set is designed for 42-inch mower decks that use a star-shaped center mounting hole. It is compatible with several brands, including Bolens, Huskee, MTD, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, and Yard-Man, but you should always verify your current blade's center hole shape and total length before purchasing.

While these blades are optimized for bagging and side-discharging, they are generally not the best choice for mulching. Because they are designed to maximize lift and airflow to move clippings away from the deck, they may not chop the grass finely enough for a proper mulching result.

Installing mower blades is a standard maintenance task, but it requires basic mechanical knowledge and safety precautions. You will need to disconnect the spark plug wire, secure the mower deck, and use the proper tools to remove the old blades and torque the new ones to the manufacturer's specifications.
