Anthropologie Barnacle Urn

While the urn is designed for outdoor use, clay materials can be susceptible to cracking in freezing temperatures. We recommend bringing it indoors or storing it in a covered area during harsh winter weather to preserve the integrity of the glaze and clay.

This piece does not come with a pre-drilled drainage hole. If you plan to plant directly into the urn, you may want to add a layer of gravel at the bottom for drainage or use a nursery pot insert.

The finish features a tactile, barnacle-like texture that creates a rustic, organic look. It is intentionally uneven, which adds depth and character to the piece rather than a smooth, uniform surface.

A 13-inch height is ideal for medium-sized arrangements. It works well with trailing plants like pothos, structured ferns, or a simple floral bouquet, providing enough vertical presence to act as a focal point without overwhelming a tabletop or console.

The clay construction provides a solid, sturdy weight that is generally stable for patio use. However, if you live in an area with high winds, we recommend adding a few heavy stones to the base of the pot before planting to ensure it stays secure.
