The front rim is optimized for compliance and traction to help with steering precision, while the rear rim is built with a specific carbon layup to handle the higher torque loads and impacts associated with aggressive gravity riding and e-bike power.

Yes. The M8 features a Wide Hookless Bead design that provides a wider surface area for the tire to rest on during a hard impact. This reduces the likelihood of the tire casing being cut against the rim edge, which is the primary cause of pinch flats.

The INNERDRIVE hub is designed for high engagement, meaning there is very little 'dead space' when you start pedaling. This provides near-instant power transfer, which is crucial for technical climbing or accelerating out of tight corners on a gravity bike.

They are designed for both. While the M8 is engineered to handle the extra weight and torque of an e-bike, that same robustness makes it an excellent choice for traditional enduro and downhill racing where durability and impact resistance are top priorities.

The M8 uses standard sealed bearings, which are generally straightforward to replace if you have basic mechanical skills and the appropriate bearing press tools. The hub design is intended to be low-maintenance, but standard wear-and-tear items like bearings remain serviceable.

These rims are tubeless-ready and optimized for modern tubeless setups, which we highly recommend for gravity riding to maximize the pinch-flat protection features. While they are compatible with clincher tires, running them tubeless will give you the best performance and reliability.
