Maple is a dense, light-colored wood that is excellent for heavy-duty chopping. Cherry offers a warm, reddish tone that darkens over time, while Walnut provides a rich, dark aesthetic that hides knife marks well. Mahogany is a durable, medium-to-dark option with a distinct, elegant grain pattern.

The 9x12 inch board is ideal for smaller prep tasks, garnishes, or serving cheese and appetizers. If you plan to use the board for main meal preparation or as a larger charcuterie platter, the 12x16 inch size offers the necessary surface area.

While the engraving is permanent and durable, we recommend using the reverse, non-engraved side of the board for heavy chopping to keep the personalized design pristine. The engraved side remains fully functional for serving or light slicing.
