Banko shidei clay is prized for its porous, mineral-rich composition, which interacts with the tea leaves to soften astringency and tannins. This results in a smoother, more balanced cup, particularly for green teas like sencha.

The integrated ceramic debeso filter is built directly into the clay body. It is highly effective at straining fine leaves without the metallic aftertaste sometimes associated with stainless steel mesh, ensuring a pure flavor profile.

This teapot is designed for personal use or intimate service. It holds approximately 6.1 ounces, which is ideal for brewing one to two small cups of high-quality loose-leaf tea, typical of traditional Japanese brewing styles.

Rinse the teapot with warm water immediately after use and allow it to air dry completely with the lid off. Avoid using soap or detergents, as the porous clay can absorb these scents and affect the flavor of future brews.
