The flexible deck is designed to absorb shock and allow your foot to roll naturally as you step, rather than forcing your gait to accommodate a rigid, flat platform. This reduces the 'clunky' feeling common in traditional snowshoes and helps minimize fatigue on longer hikes.

These are best for mixed conditions. While the flexible deck and traction rails perform excellently on packed trails and icy traverses, they may not provide the same level of flotation as larger, wider snowshoes in very deep, unconsolidated powder.

The Boa system uses a dial to tighten the binding evenly across your boot, which eliminates pressure points and allows for quick, one-handed adjustments even while wearing gloves. It provides a more secure, consistent fit that is much faster to get in and out of than standard webbing straps.

If you plan on hiking up steep inclines, the heel lifts are a game-changer. They elevate your heel to reduce calf strain and improve traction on ascents, making steep climbs significantly more comfortable and efficient.

The choice depends primarily on your total weight, including the gear you are carrying. The 24-inch model is generally suitable for lighter hikers or those carrying less weight, while the 28-inch model offers more surface area for better flotation if you are heavier or carrying a fully loaded pack.
