Rab Ascent Sleeping Bag

The Ascent is a 2-season bag with a 25°F temperature rating, making it ideal for cool-weather backpacking and camping. It provides a solid balance of warmth and weight for shoulder-season trips where temperatures might dip near freezing.

This bag is tailored with a slightly narrower shoulder width and a wider hip area compared to unisex models. This geometry creates a more efficient fit that minimizes dead air space, helping you stay warmer while allowing for comfortable movement.

The bag uses 650FP European Duck Down, which is excellent for loft and warmth, but like all down, it loses insulation power when wet. While the shell material is durable and water-resistant, you should still use a waterproof stuff sack to keep the bag dry inside your pack.

The bag features a YKK 3/4 length zipper system specifically designed to be snag-free. It also includes a down-filled baffle behind the zipper to prevent cold air from leaking through the closure.

This bag is designed to be used on top of a sleeping pad, not with the pad inside. The mummy shape is contoured to your body to maximize heat retention, so you should place your pad on the tent floor and the bag on top of it.

The bag is designed for users up to 66.9 inches (approx. 5'7") tall. If you are close to this height, you will have a snug fit, but the spacious mummy cut allows for some movement.
