While the Wide Trail (WT) casing is optimized for rims with an inner width of 30-35mm, it can be used on narrower rims. However, you may notice a slightly more rounded profile, which can affect cornering feel compared to the intended design.

The Rekon is highly versatile and works well in both positions. Many riders prefer it as a rear tire paired with a more aggressive front tire like the Minion DHF, though it offers enough grip to serve as a capable front tire on less technical, flowy trails.

The 3C MaxxTerra compound provides a balanced blend of grip and durability. While it excels in dry to intermediate conditions, it offers reliable traction on damp roots and rocks, though it is not a dedicated mud-specific tire.

The EXO layer is designed to be lightweight while providing essential cut and abrasion resistance. It adds a negligible amount of weight compared to the protection it offers against trail debris, making it a standard choice for most trail riding.

You can absolutely run this tire with inner tubes if you prefer. However, the tubeless-ready design is optimized for a sealant-based setup, which allows you to run lower pressures for better grip and significantly reduces the risk of pinch flats.

The maximum pressure is 60 PSI, but for trail riding, you will likely run it much lower. The ideal pressure depends on your weight and rim width, but most riders find the sweet spot between 20 and 30 PSI for optimal traction and comfort.
