Schwalbe Eddy Current E-MTB Tire

The Eddy Current PRO is built to handle the extra weight and high torque of modern electric mountain bikes. It features a reinforced gravity casing and a specific E-50 rating, meaning it is certified for speeds up to 50 km/h, ensuring the tire structure won't deform or fail under the motor's power.

Radial casing allows the tire to conform more effectively to the trail surface compared to traditional bias-ply tires. This increased ground contact results in a smoother, less bouncy ride and significantly improved traction, especially over technical, uneven terrain.

While the tire is designed as a tubeless-ready clincher, it can technically be used with an inner tube. However, to get the full performance benefits of the radial casing and the puncture protection, we strongly recommend setting it up tubeless.

The tire features wide, squared-off tread blocks that are designed to minimize squirm when you apply power or hit the brakes. This stability, combined with the siping on every knob, provides consistent biting edges that help you maintain control during hard stops.

While it is built with a heavy-duty gravity casing, it is versatile enough for aggressive trail riding and enduro. Keep in mind that at 1480g, it is a substantial tire, so it is best suited for riders who prioritize grip, stability, and durability over lightweight climbing performance.

The maximum pressure for this tire is 35 PSI (2.5 BAR). Because of the radial casing, you can often run slightly lower pressures than you might be used to, which helps maximize the tire's ability to conform to the trail and improve grip.
