The Assos Rain Bootie uses a race-tuned, elastic fit that relies on tension rather than a zipper to stay in place. The raw-cut, taped edges are designed to grip the shoe securely, creating a streamlined seal that prevents slipping while you ride.

These booties are engineered primarily for wet weather protection and wind resistance rather than heavy insulation. While they will keep your feet dry and block cold wind, they are best suited for cool-to-mild wet conditions rather than sub-zero temperatures.

These are designed specifically for road cycling shoes with a streamlined, race-tuned profile. They may not fit over the bulkier soles or tread patterns found on mountain bike or gravel-specific shoes.

To get the best seal, put the booties on before your cycling shoes. Once your shoes are on, pull the booties down over the shoe and ensure the internal membrane is flush against your ankle and the shoe's upper to block water entry.

The sole features a cutout for your cleats, but the material is designed for cycling performance, not walking. While the heel is reinforced for durability, you should minimize walking in these to prevent premature wear on the fabric.
