Unicore technology bonds the sheath to the core, which prevents the sheath from bunching or sliding. This significantly increases safety and longevity, as the rope remains usable even if the outer sheath is cut or torn.

While the 9.4 mm diameter is lightweight and handles beautifully, it is on the thinner side. It is best suited for experienced climbers who are comfortable with thinner ropes and have a belay device capable of managing such diameters safely.

Dry Cover treats only the sheath to resist moisture and dirt, while Golden Dry treats both the core and the sheath. The Golden Dry treatment offers superior protection against water absorption and freezing, making it the better choice for alpine or ice climbing.

The 40-gore construction refers to the weave pattern of the sheath, which provides a balance between durability and handling. It makes the rope more resistant to abrasion against rock while maintaining a supple feel that runs smoothly through carabiners.

You can use it in the gym, but its lightweight design and advanced treatments are really optimized for outdoor cragging and alpine environments. Using it exclusively for high-volume gym climbing will wear it out much faster than a thicker, more robust gym-specific rope.
