It is a hybrid boot designed to do both. With a 115 flex and a carbon-reinforced spine, it provides the stiffness needed for aggressive resort skiing, while the T-Ride walk mechanism and 50-degree range of motion make it capable for backcountry touring.

C.A.S. (Custom Adaptive Shape) allows boot fitters to heat-mold the shell and liner to match your specific foot anatomy. The material is designed to be easily punched or ground, making it highly effective for addressing common pressure points or irregular foot shapes.

These soles are compatible with GripWalk-certified alpine bindings and most modern touring bindings. However, they are not compatible with traditional, non-GripWalk ISO 5355 alpine bindings, so you should check your current binding specifications before purchasing.

A 115 flex is generally considered stiff and is best suited for advanced to expert skiers who need precise power transmission. If you are an intermediate skier, you may find this boot overly demanding unless you are looking for a boot to grow into as you progress.

The Cochise features a Quick Instep design, which uses a softer plastic section over the instep area. This makes the boot significantly easier to slide your foot into compared to traditional high-performance boots, even in cold temperatures.

A 99mm last is considered a medium-volume fit. It is generally comfortable for average-width feet, but if you have a notably wide forefoot, you may need to utilize the C.A.S. customization process to punch the shell for extra room.
