This model is designed for outdoor use, but it is not intended for freezing temperatures. If you live in a climate with harsh winters, you should drain, clean, and store the unit indoors during the colder months to prevent damage to the material and pump.

Maintenance is similar in principle but generally simpler. You will still need to monitor water chemistry and clean the filter regularly, but because the water volume is smaller and the system is portable, tasks like draining and cleaning the interior are much faster.
