The implosion bar is designed to create a slight arch on the deck of the spray skirt. This prevents water from pooling on top of the skirt, which can cause it to sag or eventually collapse into the cockpit.

The bungee rand is designed for ease of use and versatility. It stretches to fit a variety of cockpit sizes, making it much easier to attach and remove compared to a rigid or tight-fitting rubber rand.

The tunnel zipper is water-resistant, meaning it is designed to repel splashes and light rain while providing ventilation. It is not intended to be fully submersible, so you should keep it closed in heavy chop or rough water conditions.

The zippered mesh pocket is best suited for small, lightweight essentials that you need quick access to, such as a snack bar, sunscreen, or a small multi-tool. Avoid storing heavy or sharp items that could snag the mesh or interfere with your paddling stroke.

While the urethane-coated nylon oxford material provides a reliable barrier against splashes and rain, no spray skirt is 100% waterproof in all conditions. It is highly effective for recreational paddling, but heavy waves or rolling may allow some water ingress.
