Unlike a mummy bag that wraps completely around you, this quilt is open on the bottom. It relies on your sleeping pad to provide the necessary insulation underneath you, which significantly reduces weight and bulk while offering a much less restrictive, more natural sleeping experience.

The quilt is designed to be paired with an insulated sleeping pad, which acts as your primary barrier against the cold ground. As long as you use a pad with an appropriate R-value for the conditions, the system is highly efficient and warm.

DriDown is treated to be water-resistant, meaning it retains its loft and insulating properties much better than untreated down if it gets damp from condensation or humid air. It dries faster and stays warmer in variable backcountry conditions.

The integrated hand pockets allow you to tuck the edges of the quilt around your shoulders to seal out drafts, effectively 'locking' the warmth in. The hide-away hood adds an extra layer of protection for your head on colder nights, giving you more versatility than a standard blanket-style quilt.
