The Origin8 Vex pedals feature 10 replaceable M3-8mm pins per side, which are designed to bite into the rubber soles of flat-soled cycling shoes or sneakers. They provide excellent traction for casual riding, commuting, or mountain biking where you prefer not to be clipped in.

Yes, the pins are fully replaceable. If you damage a pin on a rock or trail obstacle, you can easily swap it out with standard M3-8mm pins to maintain the pedal's grip.

These pedals use a standard 9/16" spindle, which is the industry standard for almost all adult mountain, road, and hybrid bicycles. They will not fit one-piece cranks found on some children's bikes or older BMX bikes, which typically require a 1/2" spindle.

The engineering-grade thermoplastic is surprisingly durable and impact-resistant, offering a lightweight alternative to aluminum without the risk of denting. While metal pedals might be stiffer, these provide a robust platform that handles daily abuse and trail riding very effectively.
