The Origin8 Vex pedals use a standard 9/16" spindle, which fits the vast majority of modern adult bicycles, including mountain, road, and commuter bikes. They will not fit one-piece cranks often found on older BMX or children's bikes, which require 1/2" pedals.

Yes, each pedal features 10 M3-8mm pins per side that are fully replaceable. If you damage a pin on a rock or trail obstacle, you can easily unscrew it and install a new one to maintain consistent grip.

Engineering-grade thermoplastic is surprisingly rugged and impact-resistant, often sliding over obstacles better than metal. While aluminum pedals can dent or gouge, these are designed to absorb impacts without deforming, making them a durable choice for aggressive riding.

These pedals utilize a combination of an LSL sleeve bushing and a sealed bearing, which are designed to keep dirt and moisture out with minimal upkeep. You generally won't need to service them frequently, but a simple cleaning and occasional check for play is good practice.
