IMS Filter Basket

This basket is designed for 54mm portafilters. It is compatible with most Breville and Sage models, including the Barista Express, Bambino, Bambino Plus, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Impress, and Infuser.

Because this is a precision-engineered component, the tolerances are tighter than the stock basket included with your machine. You may notice a firmer fit when locking the portafilter into the group head, which is normal for high-performance equipment.

The precision-cut holes are designed to promote a more uniform flow of water through the coffee puck. This reduces channeling and ensures a more even extraction, which typically results in a cleaner, more balanced flavor profile compared to standard baskets.

Yes, because this basket has a different flow rate than your stock basket, you may need to dial in your grind size again. We recommend starting with your current setting and adjusting slightly finer or coarser to achieve your desired extraction time.

While the basket is optimized for an 18-22g dose, you can experiment within that range to find what works best for your specific coffee roast and desired strength. Using a dose outside of this range may impact the headspace and extraction quality.
