With an 80mm reach and 125mm drop, this bar features a compact geometry that is generally more accessible and comfortable for a wider range of riders. It allows for a smoother transition between the hoods and the drops, making it easier to maintain a secure position during intense efforts.

While the EC70 SL is engineered primarily for road performance, its vibration-dampening carbon layup makes it a capable choice for light gravel or mixed-surface riding. If you are planning on aggressive, technical gravel riding, you might prefer a bar with more flare, but for general road and light gravel use, this is an excellent, responsive option.

Taperwall is Easton's proprietary technology that varies the wall thickness of the carbon fiber throughout the handlebar. This allows them to reinforce high-stress areas for durability while thinning out non-critical sections to save weight, resulting in a bar that is both strong and lightweight.

This handlebar uses a standard 31.8mm clamp diameter, which is the industry standard for modern road bikes. As long as your current stem is designed for a 31.8mm bar, it will be compatible.
