Atomic Backland FR Ski Pole

The pole features a simple, reliable locking system that allows you to adjust the length anywhere between 110cm and 135cm. This makes it easy to shorten the pole for steep ascents or lengthen it for traversing and powder skiing.

The integrated screwdriver is designed to fit standard binding screws commonly found on most alpine and touring bindings. It is a convenient tool for making quick, on-the-fly adjustments to your DIN settings or heel piece position while in the backcountry.

While these poles are optimized for freeride and backcountry use due to the powder baskets and integrated tool, they function perfectly well at the resort. Keep in mind that the 85mm powder basket is larger than standard resort baskets, which can occasionally get in the way if you are skiing tight moguls or groomed runs.

The aluminum alloy used here strikes a great balance between weight and durability. It is robust enough to handle the impacts of trees and rocks, though like any aluminum pole, it can bend under extreme force rather than snapping like carbon fiber might.

The FR grip is designed with a texture and shape inspired by mountain bike grips, providing a secure, ergonomic hold that feels natural in your hand. It offers excellent traction even when wearing gloves, helping you maintain a confident grip in variable conditions.
