The CineGrey 4D material is an ambient light rejecting (ALR) surface designed to absorb overhead or side lighting. This significantly boosts contrast and color depth in rooms that aren't completely dark, preventing the washed-out look common with standard white screens.

Tab-tensioning uses side cables to pull the material taut, preventing the curling or waves that often develop on motorized drop-down screens over time. This ensures your 4K or 8K image remains perfectly flat and distortion-free.

The Starling Tab-Tension 2 is specifically engineered for ceiling installation. While it is designed to be secure and discreet when mounted overhead, it is not intended for wall-mounting applications.

No, this screen is designed for standard-throw projectors. It is not optimized for the specific light-path requirements of ultra-short throw (UST) projectors, which typically require a specialized optical screen.

While the installation is straightforward for those comfortable with ceiling mounting and basic electrical wiring, it is a large, heavy unit. We recommend having a second person assist with the mounting process to ensure it is level and securely anchored.

This screen is not acoustically transparent, meaning sound will not pass through the material. If you plan to place speakers behind the screen, you will experience significant muffling; therefore, your speakers should be positioned to the sides or below the viewing area.
