Shimano Deore Cassette

This cassette uses a standard HG (Hyperglide) freehub body, which is the most common mountain bike hub standard. If your current wheel is set up for a 10-speed Shimano or SRAM drivetrain, it will almost certainly be compatible.

It is designed for use with 10-speed chains. For the best shifting performance, we recommend pairing it with a Shimano 10-speed chain, though any high-quality 10-speed chain will work.

The aluminum carriers help reduce the overall weight of the cassette without sacrificing durability. By mounting the larger sprockets on these carriers, Shimano keeps the component lightweight while ensuring the steel teeth remain robust enough to handle high torque.

This cassette is compatible with most 10-speed mountain bike derailleurs, provided your derailleur has the capacity to handle the 42-tooth largest cog. You should check your derailleur's maximum sprocket specification before installing to ensure it can clear the cassette.

Hyperglide technology uses specifically ramped and machined tooth profiles on the cogs. This design guides the chain smoothly from one gear to the next, allowing for reliable, consistent shifting even when you are pedaling under load.
