Because of its narrower waist width and metal reinforcement, the Sheeva 9 is significantly more stable and responsive on hardpack than wider powder-specific skis. It holds an edge well on groomed runs and initiates turns quickly, making it a much better choice for resort skiing.

While the Sheeva 9 is versatile, it is designed for intermediate to advanced skiers who can appreciate its lively woodcore and performance features. Beginners might find the ski's responsiveness and metal construction a bit demanding, though a confident intermediate will find it very approachable.

The Sheeva 9 is a true all-mountain performer. It shines in mixed resort conditions, including groomed runs, bumps, and light, chopped-up snow, thanks to its agile waist and vibration-damping construction.

The TrueBlend woodcore uses different densities of wood placed strategically throughout the ski. This allows Blizzard to fine-tune the flex, providing stability underfoot where you need power and a softer, more playful feel in the tip and tail for easier turn initiation.

While it handles light powder well, the Sheeva 9 is not a dedicated deep-powder ski. If you primarily ski in very deep, untouched snow, you might prefer one of the wider models in the Sheeva line, but for the occasional storm day at the resort, it performs admirably.
