While it is marketed as an intermediate binding, the STR is very accessible for ambitious beginners. Its 6/10 flex rating provides enough support to help you progress without being overly stiff or unforgiving, making it a great long-term investment as your skills improve.

The STR is highly compatible. It features a mounting system that works with standard 4x4 and 4x2 hole patterns, as well as the Channel system found on Burton boards, so it will fit the vast majority of snowboards on the market.

The Stage 5 Duraflex baseplate is engineered to provide a consistent flex in a wide range of temperatures. It offers a balanced blend of vibration dampening and responsiveness, which helps smooth out chatter on icy or uneven snow.
