Logee's Paw Paw Tree

Paw Paw trees are not self-fertile, meaning they require cross-pollination between two different cultivars to produce fruit. This set includes two distinct varieties specifically chosen to ensure successful pollination and a reliable harvest.

Because these are grafted plants rather than seedlings, you can expect them to begin bearing fruit in approximately 2 to 3 years. Once mature, each tree can yield up to 30 pounds of fruit per season.

Paw Paws prefer well-drained soil and can be grown in either full sun or partial shade. They are hardy in USDA zones 5 through 9, making them adaptable to a wide range of climates across North America.

When fully grown, these trees typically reach a height of 12 to 25 feet with a width of about 12 feet. It is important to provide them with enough space to accommodate this size as they mature.

The harvest window is staggered between the two varieties, which helps extend your picking season. 'PA Golden' typically ripens early in September, while 'Prolific' ripens mid-season in October.
