The AS2 is specifically engineered with a medium-firm feel for back and stomach sleepers. Side sleepers typically require a softer surface to allow for deeper shoulder and hip sinkage, so this model may feel too firm for those who primarily sleep on their side.

The cover is infused with 13 thermo-active minerals that convert your body heat into infrared energy. This process helps promote a neutral sleep temperature throughout the night, working in tandem with the open-cell foam layers to prevent heat buildup.

The AS2 features excellent motion isolation due to its high-density foam construction. The materials are designed to absorb movement locally, meaning you are unlikely to be disturbed by a partner shifting positions or getting in and out of bed.

This middle layer provides targeted support by being firmer in areas that need extra reinforcement, such as the lumbar region, and softer where you need more pressure relief. This helps maintain proper spinal alignment for back and stomach sleepers.

Amerisleep offers a 100-night sleep trial, allowing you to test the mattress in your own home. If it does not meet your comfort needs, you can initiate a return after the initial break-in period.

This mattress performs best on a solid, flat surface, such as a platform bed or a slatted base with slats spaced no more than 3 inches apart. It is not compatible with adjustable bases.
