Our Place Steamer

To preserve the bamboo, hand wash it with warm water and mild soap immediately after use. Avoid soaking it or putting it in the dishwasher, and always let it air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storing to prevent mold.

Absolutely. While it is excellent for dumplings, the steamer is perfect for gentle, nutrient-preserving cooking of vegetables, fish, tamales, and even reheating leftovers like buns or rice without drying them out.

Using a liner like parchment paper or a cabbage leaf is highly recommended. It prevents food from sticking to the bamboo slats and makes cleanup significantly easier, especially when cooking sticky items like dumplings or buns.
