Produce Bag Kit

Yes, because they are made from 100% organic cotton, these bags are machine washable. We recommend washing them in cold water and hanging them to dry to prevent any potential shrinking.

Each bag features a small tag displaying its tare weight. When you reach the checkout, the cashier can easily subtract this weight from your total, ensuring you only pay for the produce inside, not the bag itself.

Unlike plastic, which traps moisture and can cause produce to rot faster, the breathable mesh design allows airflow. This helps keep your fruits and vegetables crisp for longer, though you should still store leafy greens in the fridge as you normally would.

The mesh is designed for standard produce like apples, onions, and peppers. For very small items like cherry tomatoes or loose grains, we recommend using the solid organic cotton bags included in the kit to ensure nothing slips through.

This kit includes 10 bags in total: 6 mesh produce bags in small, medium, and large sizes, plus 4 solid organic cotton bags (2 medium and 2 large) for bulkier or smaller items.
