William Optics Low Latitude Vixen Style Base Mount

This base is designed to work with popular portable tracking mounts that use Vixen-style dovetail rails, specifically the iOptron SkyGuider Pro and the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer.

The factory-included bases on many portable trackers can be flimsy or difficult to adjust precisely. This CNC-machined upgrade offers significantly higher stability and a more refined adjustment mechanism, which is crucial for maintaining tracking accuracy during long-exposure astrophotography.

Standard mount bases often struggle to reach the low angles required for observers near the equator. This base is specifically engineered to allow for precise polar alignment when you are observing from latitudes between 7 and 34 degrees.

Installation is straightforward, as the base is designed to integrate seamlessly with standard Vixen dovetail systems. It replaces your existing base component, providing a more robust platform without requiring complex modifications to your tracker.

The base weighs 990 grams, or approximately 2.18 pounds. While it adds a small amount of weight to your setup, the trade-off is a much more rigid and reliable platform for your imaging gear.
