Sandalwood is a dense, durable hardwood, but like all natural wood products, it can react to extreme temperature changes. To ensure longevity, avoid submerging it in boiling water for extended periods and let it air dry completely in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

The tea boat is designed for compact, intimate tea setups. It comfortably accommodates a standard-sized gaiwan or a small Yixing teapot, making it ideal for solo sessions or brewing for two.

Sandalwood is naturally aromatic, but this tea boat is primarily a serving vessel for the exterior of your brewing equipment. It will not impart any flavor to the tea inside your pot or gaiwan.

The engraving is carved directly into the wood, so it will not peel or fade. However, you should be diligent about wiping away standing water after your session to prevent moisture from settling in the grooves over time.
