This muddler is crafted for food safety and durability. While it is a natural wood product, it is designed to be used directly with cocktail ingredients without imparting any off-flavors or chemical residues.

To preserve the integrity of the walnut, hand wash the muddler with warm water and mild soap immediately after use, then dry it thoroughly. Avoid soaking it or putting it in the dishwasher, and occasionally rub it with food-grade mineral oil to keep the wood from drying out.

The muddler features a dual-diameter design—1 1/4 inches and 1 inch—which makes it highly versatile. It is engineered to reach the bottom of standard mixing glasses as well as narrower rocks glasses, giving you precise control regardless of the vessel size.

This tool is primarily designed for extracting oils and flavors from herbs, fruits, and spices. While it is sturdy, we recommend using a dedicated ice mallet or a heavy-duty metal muddler if you frequently need to crush ice, as repeated impact with hard ice can damage the wood over time.
