Hopsack is a basket-weave structure that creates a slightly loose, open, and tactile surface. This gives the linen a more substantial, rustic feel compared to a standard flat weave, while still maintaining a refined drape.

Because these napkins are woven on vintage shuttle looms using high-quality, yarn-dyed linen, they are delicate. Hand washing with a mild detergent preserves the integrity of the weave and prevents the fibers from fraying or losing their unique texture over time.

The warp and weft threads are dyed in slightly different, complementary tones. This technique creates a subtle, heathered effect that adds visual depth and character, making the color appear more dynamic than a flat, solid-dyed fabric.
