The Kabuto set features a unique, armor-inspired storage block that offers a distinct aesthetic compared to traditional wooden blocks. Beyond the design, the knives themselves are crafted from CROMOVA 18 stainless steel, which is specifically engineered to hold a razor-sharp edge longer than standard cutlery.

While the seamless, one-piece construction is designed to be hygienic, we strongly recommend hand-washing your Global knives. Dishwashers can be harsh on the blade's edge and may cause the stainless steel to dull or pit over time.

To maintain the acute 15-degree edge, you should use a ceramic water sharpener or a whetstone specifically designed for Japanese-style blades. Avoid using standard pull-through sharpeners, as they are often set to a wider angle that will not effectively hone this specific blade geometry.

The handles feature a signature dimpled pattern that provides a secure, non-slip grip even when your hands are wet. They are also perfectly weighted to ensure the knife feels balanced and stable in your hand during repetitive cutting tasks.

The Kabuto block is specifically designed with a 6-knife capacity to match the set. While you might be able to fit other knives depending on their size, the block's slots are tailored to the specific dimensions of the included Global cutlery.
