Silvestri Murano Scavo Glass Vase

The scavo technique is a traditional Murano glassmaking process where the glass is treated with mineral salts and powders to create an ancient, excavated, or weathered appearance. This results in the unique, matte, and iridescent texture that defines the surface of this piece.

While this vase is crafted from high-quality mouth-blown glass, the scavo finish is porous and delicate. We recommend using it primarily as a decorative object rather than a functional vessel for fresh flowers and water.

Authenticity is confirmed by the original maker's sticker located on the underside of the vase. This mark serves as verification of its origin and artisanal production.

The vase is designed with a balanced base to ensure stability on standard flat surfaces like tabletops, mantels, or shelves. However, due to its organic, mouth-blown form, it is best placed in a low-traffic area where it won't be easily bumped.

Because of the textured scavo finish, avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive cloths. A gentle dusting with a soft, dry microfiber cloth is the best way to maintain its appearance without damaging the delicate surface.
