Howie Glatter Laser Collimator

This unit is designed specifically for telescopes with a 2-inch focuser. If your telescope uses a 1.25-inch focuser, you will need a separate adapter to use this tool.

The aperture stop narrows the laser beam, which helps you achieve a more precise alignment by making the return dot smaller and easier to center. It is best used for the final stage of collimation when you need maximum accuracy.

Thanks to its shock-resistant, robust construction, this collimator is designed to hold its factory calibration through regular transport and handling. You shouldn't need to adjust it often, but it is good practice to verify alignment occasionally if the unit takes a hard impact.

It runs on a single CR123A battery, which provides approximately 40 hours of continuous use. This is a common battery type, making it easy to keep a spare in your kit.

This is a 5mW Class IIIa laser. While it is standard for collimation tools, you should always avoid looking directly into the laser aperture and be mindful of where the beam is pointing during setup.
