While these boards are beautiful enough to hang on a wall, they are fully functional cutting boards. The premium hardwoods and durable hand-rubbed finish are designed to withstand daily kitchen use, though regular cutting will eventually show wear on the engraving.

All three options—Cherry, Yellow Birch, and Maple—are durable hardwoods suitable for kitchen use. Cherry offers a warm, reddish tone that darkens over time, Maple provides a classic, light, and uniform look, while Yellow Birch features unique grain patterns and a slightly more rustic character.

To keep the wood in top condition, hand wash it with mild soap and water, then dry it immediately—never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. Periodically applying a food-safe mineral oil or wood conditioner will help maintain the finish and prevent the wood from drying out.

The recipe is laser-engraved into the wood, meaning it is a permanent mark rather than a surface print. It will not wash off, though consistent knife use on the engraved side will naturally soften the appearance of the text over many years.
