FUTURES Pyzel Honeycomb Thruster

The Pyzel Honeycomb Thruster is designed for standard three-fin shortboards using the Futures fin system. Because of their neutral template and balanced flex, they work well on almost any performance shortboard, especially if you want a reliable, predictable feel.

The honeycomb core keeps the fins lightweight, which helps the board feel more responsive and lively under your feet. It provides a medium flex pattern that isn't too stiff or too soft, making it a great middle-ground for everyday surfing.

Futures uses the Ride Number scale to indicate how a fin feels: 1 is solid and controlled, while 10 is lively and loose. A 6.2 rating places these fins squarely in the 'balanced' category, meaning they offer a mix of speed and control that works in almost any wave condition.

The carbon fiber base stiffens the bottom of the fin, which helps transfer energy from your turns directly into the board. This gives you more drive and stability when you're pushing hard through a bottom turn or generating speed.

They are designed to handle both. The flat foil on the side fins helps generate speed in smaller, weaker waves, while the overall neutral template provides enough hold and stability to keep you in control when the surf gets larger and more powerful.
