Yes. Because it is made of natural volcanic stone, this board has excellent thermal properties. You can chill it in the refrigerator before serving cheeses or warm it slightly in the oven to keep appetizers at temperature.

Hand wash the board with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive soap. Avoid using the dishwasher, as the high heat and harsh detergents can damage the natural stone finish.

Lava stone is naturally dense, but it is still a porous material. While it is durable for serving, we recommend avoiding direct contact with highly acidic or deeply pigmented foods like balsamic glazes or beet juices for extended periods to prevent potential staining.

The board features a raw, natural stone bottom. We recommend placing it on a tablecloth, runner, or using felt adhesive pads if you are concerned about scratching delicate wood or glass surfaces.

While the stone is durable, we do not recommend using it as a primary cutting board. Using sharp knives directly on the surface will dull your blades and may cause micro-scratches on the stone over time.
