Optiflora Autumn Fern

Dryopteris erythrosora thrives in partial to full shade. They prefer indirect light, making them an excellent choice for understory planting or shaded corners of a garden.

While they are often used in landscaping, they can be kept indoors if you provide high humidity and consistent moisture. They are best suited for bright, indirect light locations like a bathroom or a sunroom.

In optimal conditions, Autumn Ferns typically reach a mature size of about 18 to 24 inches in both height and spread. Their clumping habit makes them ideal for mass planting or ground cover.

Unpack them carefully and place them in a shaded area to acclimate for a day or two. Ensure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged, and avoid direct, harsh sunlight until they have adjusted to their new environment.

They prefer rich, moist, well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. If your native soil is heavy clay or very sandy, amending it with organic matter like compost will help them establish more quickly.
