These foxgloves prefer partial shade to full shade. While they might tolerate some morning sun in cooler climates, they are best suited for areas that are protected from the intense afternoon heat.

Camelot Lavender Foxgloves are known for their tall, vertical growth habit. You can generally expect them to reach heights of 3 to 4 feet, making them an excellent choice for the back of a garden border.

Digitalis Purpurea, or foxglove, is toxic if ingested by humans or pets. It is best to plant them in areas where curious pets or small children are not likely to handle or eat the plant material.

Because they are biennials, the original plant will die after its second year. However, if you allow the flowers to go to seed, they will often self-sow, creating new plants that will continue the cycle in your garden.
