FCS II Firewire PC Carbon Fins

The carbon tissue insert is designed to refine the flex pattern of the fin. It provides a more responsive, lively feel compared to standard fiberglass fins, allowing for better energy return when you are loading up for a turn.

The smaller center fin is specifically designed to reduce drag and allow for quicker, looser tail release. This makes it easier to pivot and break the tail free during turns, which is ideal if you want a more agile feel in critical sections.

These fins use the FCS II tool-less system, which is compatible with all FCS II fin boxes. If you have older FCS dual-plug boxes, you will need to use grub screws to secure them, but they will still fit.

While these fins excel in critical, overhead conditions, they can be used in smaller surf if you prefer a stiffer, more drive-oriented feel. However, they are engineered primarily for power surfing and high-volume boards, so you might find them slightly less playful in weak, mushy waves compared to a dedicated small-wave set.

You should choose the PC Carbon version if you want a more controlled, precise feel. The carbon construction offers a slightly stiffer flex pattern that holds better through high-speed maneuvers, whereas standard PC fins tend to have a bit more flex and forgiveness.
